DENTAID presents the new image of Perio·Aid at the 2016 SEPA meeting in Valencia

Perio·Aid is the first antiseptic combination containing Chlorhexidine + Cetylpyridinium chloride, indicated as an adjuvant to the in-office treatment and control of periodontal and/or peri-implant disease.

Periodontal diseases, such as gingivitis and periodontitis, are generally considered chronic diseases that are infectious and inflammatory in nature, located in the tooth support tissues and which potentially cause the loss of teeth. Their primary cause is the accumulation of oral biofilm, both on the inner and the outer surfaces of the gums.

Coinciding with the 50th Annual SEPA Meeting in Valencia, the Perio·Aid product range presented its new image, whose main goal is to explain Perio·Aid’s two different formulas: Perio·Aid 0.12 Treatment (containing 0.12% Chlorhexidine + 0.05% CPC) and Perio·Aid 0.05 Maintenance and Control (containing 0.05% Chlorhexidine + 0.05% CPC). When faced with periodontal disease, practitioners generally recommend the use of Chlorhexidine, as it is considered the gold standard antiseptic for its greatly effective chemical control over oral biofilm.

DENTAID also participated at SEPA 2016 with scientific lectures by Dr. Jan Derks, who underlined the prevalence of peri-implant disease, Dr. Xavier Calvo, who focused on new tools for improving dental hygiene and Dr. Silvia Roldán, who spoke about diagnosing halitosis. Professional use of social networks in the field of Dentistry was also discussed in a conference delivered by Mr. Marc Costa. This Oral Health event, which took place at Feria Valencia, gathered over 4,000 sector professionals.

CapturaPONENCIASIn addition to launching the new image of Perio·Aid, through a trade booth in the exhibitor area, DENTAID conveyed the importance of interproximal cleaning with products specifically designed for this, including Interprox, VITIS floss and tape and Waterpik water flossers.
