For almost 10 years, Sensaid® has been the DENTAID brand aimed at solving the problem of tooth sensitivity in Peru.

From now on, the products from the Sensaid® product line will be renamed Desensin®. Of the entire product line offering an array specially designed formulations for the care and protection of sensitive teeth, Desensin® mouthwash will be the first product to be marketed in Peru under this brand name.

This change means that all of the experience and effort that have gone into the Desensin® brand internationally will also be exploited in the Peruvian market.

Tooth sensitivity is highly prevalent, affecting approximately 1 in every 7 adults, and potentially leading to the onset of oral diseases including caries, gingivitis or periodontitis, when not properly treated. It usually occurs between the ages of 18 and 40, and in recent years it has increased among young patients due to excess intake of acidogenic drinks and the indiscriminate and unsupervised use of tooth whitening products.
